Jenny Christensen created Inertia in 2006 out of an appreciation for the diverse nature of people and their unique fitness goals. She has worked with athletes, weekend warriors, seniors, children, and everyone in between! Jenny provides private fitness, nutrition, and counseling services in Longmont, CO and the surrounding communities.
Jenny holds an M.A. in Sport & Exercise Psychology and a B.S. in Human Performance along with a minor in Nutrition. She maintains a current Personal Trainer certification with the American Council on Exercise as well as being a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. Jenny has acquired additional certifications from the Arthritis Foundation and Silver Sneakers and enjoys opportunities to continue her education in the world of fitness and athletics.
Prior to moving to Longmont in 2010, Jenny taught Anatomy, Physiology, and Nutrition at Eagle Gate College in Salt Lake City. She also worked with Peak Academy at the University of Utah, conducting fitness classes for University Staff, and maintained an active private clientele. Before becoming a professor, Jenny managed a busy Salt Lake City nutrition store and taught Physical Education at her daughter's elementary school.
Jenny currently lives in Longmont, CO with her husband, two children, two dogs, and the family guinea pig!
